Castle Hill Small Bore Rifle Club
Castle Hill Rifle Club is one of many sporting groups that are associated with and fully supported by Castle Hill RSL. Rifle shooting is a safe, challenging sport people of any age can enjoy. To be a "good shot" requires a combination of hand-eye coordination, breathing control and concentration. Despite it being thought of as a male sport, women often outshoot the men because of better "fine motor skills". The Rifle Club is accessable to anyone who lives in the western and northwestern areas of Sydney, this does not exclude others who may wish to enjoy the sport of rifle shooting. It is sometimes surprising how far people will travel to enjoy a sport. The Range is located in Hylands Rd Greystanes, Hylands Rd runs off Gipps Rd/Greystanes Rd which runs off the Great Western Highway. See 'Visit this Website' link above. The shooting calendar is on this website. The club meets each second and fourth Sunday of each month (and fifth Sunday when it occurs), commencing at 9am and by prior arrangement on the first and third Monday evenings of the month commencing at 7.30 pm . The shooting calendar runs from February to November for grading, but shooting ceases in mid December. Club members do travel to other ranges, such as West Wyalong, Dubbo, Springwood, Mossvale, Sutherland, and Malabar for competitions. Within the club, people are given a "grading" after a period of time to ensure they are competing against people of a similar skill level. These gradings are used when competing against other clubs. People who are under 18 are referred to as "Juniors" and they complete against other Juniors when competitions are held. Due to restrictions, rifles must be loaded with single rounds only (no magazines are to be used) and only standard velocity rimfire (0.22cal) ammunition is permitted. If you have any doubts about this, consult a club Range Officer. Secretary: Roman Targonski, 0409 315 651 e-mail: castlehillrifleclub@bigpond.com |

Dubbo RSL Small Bore & Air Rifle Club
The range is used throughout the week, however if you are new to the club, we encourage you to attend our Sunday morning shoots which start at 9am. If you come a little earlier, after 8am, we can give you the run down and get you setup to shoot if you wish. We shoot in all weather conditions. The Dubbo RSL Smallbore and Air Rifle Club, was established in the early 1970′s. Still shooting at the range today, are two of the original members. Now that’s commitment! We have a strong group of members, who shoot regularly, and enjoy the range’s facilities. Our club caters for all ages, levels of skill, and we are family friendly. Our members comprise of competition shooters, who regularly score 199, and 200, (these guys and gals are called A grade! As well as B, C, and D grade shooters who vary in skill, type of rifle used, and technique. Today we have a clubhouse, toilet facilities, and a fully functional range which caters for bench rest, air rifle, and prone shooters. Currently, we are working on plans to extend the range, due to strong membership numbers and a growing interest in the sport. Due to our ‘low cost to try’ approach (under $10), it is common that new shooters are at the range ‘giving it a go’ often. The range is used during the week, but the club only holds competition shoots every Sunday morning, starting at 9am sharp. Sunday mornings, are also suitable for beginner shooters to attend. If you are new to the club, come out and see us after 8am. See 'Visit this Website' link above. Endeavor Pistol Club
The Endeavour Pistol Club participates in various disciplines of sports shooting. The club currently has approximately 80 members, ranging from juniors to seniors, both women and men. The club participates in matches such as Service, Rim Fire, Centre Fire, Metallic Silhouette and Air Pistol. The club is also affiliated with the SSAA. We encourage safe friendly competition. The Endeavour Pistol Club was founded in 1994. At that time the members were without a range of their own so a range in the Rocks area was hired for the first Saturday of every month. Members also competed at other venues within NSW. In 1998, with the assistance of Government funding from the Department of NSW Sports and Recreation and Dedicated members the Kirrawee Air Pistol Range was completed and officially opened by the honourable MP Danna Vale. The Club also uses a modern indoor live range in Botany, Sydney where it conducts the live fire Club Championships twice a year as well as monthly matches. The Kirrawee Air Pistol Range has 10 shooting bays, goods for sale, ample parking and also caters for disabled persons. It operates Monday and Wednesday evenings and is run by committee members.
