Endeavor Pistol Club Gun Club Endeavor Pistol Club

The Endeavour Pistol Club participates in various disciplines of sports shooting. The club currently has approximately 80 members, ranging from juniors to seniors, both women and men. The club participates in matches such as Service, Rim Fire, Centre Fire, Metallic Silhouette and Air Pistol. The club is also affiliated with the SSAA. We encourage safe friendly competition. The Endeavour Pistol Club was founded in 1994. At that time the members were without a range of their own so a range in the Rocks area was hired for the first Saturday of every month. Members also competed at other venues within NSW. In 1998, with the assistance of Government funding from the Department of NSW Sports and Recreation and Dedicated members the Kirrawee Air Pistol Range was completed and officially opened by the honourable MP Danna Vale. The Club also uses a modern indoor live range in Botany, Sydney where it conducts the live fire Club Championships twice a year as well as monthly matches. The Kirrawee Air Pistol Range has 10 shooting bays, goods for sale, ample parking and also caters for disabled persons. It operates Monday and Wednesday evenings and is run by committee members. With steady growth, the club has grown to approximately 80 financial members. New membership queries are always welcome. See 'Visit this Website' link above. The club is open every Sunday for competition and practice and every second Wednesday evening for competition and air pistol. We offer several discipline’s of shooting. ISSF standard, rapid, free pistol and centre fire matches, metal silhouette, steel challenge, and for 25 & 50 meter service pistol. Our target system is fully automated with turning targets on timers to comply with all disciplines of shooting. We also cater for the rapidly growing, exciting and competitive action of IPSC. Our range is set up with standing, swinging and large & small poppers. We have a large quantity of plastic barrels to make walls/barricades to increase the challenge. We run a minimum of 1 IPSC competition a month, with practice available whenever the 50 meter range is free. We are hoping to construct a dividing wall between the IPSC and service pistol so we can shoot IPSC at anytime. Our range is also approved for use of rimfire rifles. While no actual time is set aside for rifle competitions, we are hoping in the future to be able to offer this to members and visitors. At the moment members are able to use rim fire rifles for sighting purposes only, at a suitable time when the range is open and does not interfere with pistol shooting activities. North Rocks Small Bore Rifle Club Gun Club North Rocks Small Bore Rifle Club

We only shoot in following disciplines at North Rocks. 1. Bench Rest the rifle is supported on a stand that is sitting on a bench. The shooter sits on a chair or stool and sighting is done via a telescopic sight, normally hi-power 24x-60x, then aligns the cross hairs on the target, squeezes the trigger and looks for the shot hole in the target. Bench Rest on our range is shot at both 50M and 20M. 2. Bench Rest- Sporter in this form of shooting the same stand, bench and chairs are used but the rifle can’t be modified, must be a sporting rifle less than 3.5 kgs in weight with a max power scope of 6x. A spotting scope is normally used to see the shot holes in the target as this can be impossible with a 6x scope. Bench Rest- Sporter on our range is shot at only 50M. 3. Prone the shooter lies on a shooting mat and holds the rifle and sights the target via a non-optical peep sight. When all looks central in the sight the shooter squeezes the trigger and then has to look through a spotting telescope to see the shot hole on the target. This is an Olympic event and we follow the ISSF international rules with some extra Australian rules for this event. Prone on our range is shot at both 50M and 20M. 4. Standing the shooter stands, holding the rifle while sighting at the target via the same peep sight that is used in Prone. This is also part Olympic event known as 3P or 3 position shooting. Standing on our range is shot at only 50M. 5. Kneeling the shooter kneels on the ground holding the rifle while sighting at the target via the same peep sight that is used in Prone. This is the third part of the Olympic event known as 3P or 3 position shooting. Kneeling on our range is shot at only 50M. We do not shoot any form of Centrefire, as the Range is only certified for Standard velocity (Sub-sonic) Rimfire rifle shooting See 'Visit this Website' link above. Roseville Rifle Club Gun Club Roseville Rifle Club

Roseville Rifle Club is found on Hornsby Rifle Range which is located in Rosamond St. Hornsby, behind Mt Wilga Hospital. Rifle shooting is conducted on approved rifle ranges, under strict standard shooting rules, at distances from 300 yards or meters, to 900 meters and 1000 yards. Target shooting is one of the few sports where women and men compete without favour or discrimination for the same grades and prizes. It doesn’t require exceptional fitness or, surprisingly, perfect eyesight. Older and physically impaired people can enjoy successful participation like any other shooter. Some of the best shooters in the country are over 50, as success is more to do with experience and knowledge. Location: Travel north along the Pacific Hwy from Hornsby, turn left into Galston Rd and then immediately turn left into Carrington Rd. Take the third left into Rosamond St, then after 100 meters turn right into the driveway for the hospital. The entrance to the Hospital is on the left hand side, but drive straight ahead down the road and into the rifle range complex. All the shooting mounds are up the driveways on the right. To find the Roseville Clubhouse take the second turn to the right and follow that road to the end around to the right. The parking spot and building on the right side will be Roseville Rifle club. At this rifle range we shoot at distances from 300 meters up to 800 meters. Our club Our club shoots are on Saturday afternoons starting at 1pm and shooting finishes at 4.30pm.
