Pistol Australia Gun Club Pistol Australia

Inaugurated on 16 June 1956 and first known as the ‘Amateur Pistol Shooting Union of Australia’ (APSUA), the foundation of this national association came through the joint efforts of George Rogers of Victoria, Bob Morgan of Tasmania and Fred Bott of South Australia who worked tirelessly overcoming many difficulties of that time to achieve this objective. APSUA was renamed Pistol Australia (PA) in 1991. In 2014 PA will fund a total of sixteen (16) juniors to attend the PA Junior Camp, which will be held 5 - 12 July. Eight (8) juniors will be invited by PA to attend the camp and a further eight (8) will be nominated by their respective State/Territory Association. In the event that a State/Territory Association does not nominate a candidate, PA will liaise with the other State/Territory Associations who wish to nominate an additional junior to fill such vacancies. If, after PA has received and approved all sixteen (16) PA funded candidates, the State/Territory Associations may nominate additional juniors who wish to attend the camp, however, this will be at the expense of the individual or the State/Territory Association. The Australian Skeet Shooters Association (ASSA) was formed in 1987 to give a voice to the Skeet Shooters of Australia. Many skeet shooters agreed with the concept of representation, and it was also agreed that the best interests of the Australian Skeet Shooter would be served by the ASSA affiliating with the ACTA and become an advisory body to it, on matters relating to the discipline and its own members. All members of the ASSA first must be financial members of the ACTA. See 'Visit this Website' link above. President: Paul Johnston P.O. Dubbo RSL Small Bore & Air Rifle Club Gun Club Dubbo RSL Small Bore & Air Rifle Club

The range is used throughout the week, however if you are new to the club, we encourage you to attend our Sunday morning shoots which start at 9am. If you come a little earlier, after 8am, we can give you the run down and get you setup to shoot if you wish. We shoot in all weather conditions. The Dubbo RSL Smallbore and Air Rifle Club, was established in the early 1970′s. Still shooting at the range today, are two of the original members. Now that’s commitment! We have a strong group of members, who shoot regularly, and enjoy the range’s facilities. Our club caters for all ages, levels of skill, and we are family friendly. Our members comprise of competition shooters, who regularly score 199, and 200, (these guys and gals are called A grade! As well as B, C, and D grade shooters who vary in skill, type of rifle used, and technique. Today we have a clubhouse, toilet facilities, and a fully functional range which caters for bench rest, air rifle, and prone shooters. Currently, we are working on plans to extend the range, due to strong membership numbers and a growing interest in the sport. Due to our ‘low cost to try’ approach (under $10), it is common that new shooters are at the range ‘giving it a go’ often. The range is used during the week, but the club only holds competition shoots every Sunday morning, starting at 9am sharp. Sunday mornings, are also suitable for beginner shooters to attend. If you are new to the club, come out and see us after 8am. See 'Visit this Website' link above.
