Description
Inaugurated on 16 June 1956 and first known as the ‘Amateur Pistol Shooting Union of Australia’ (APSUA), the foundation of this national association came through the joint efforts of George Rogers of Victoria, Bob Morgan of Tasmania and Fred Bott of South Australia who worked tirelessly overcoming many difficulties of that time to achieve this objective. APSUA was renamed Pistol Australia (PA) in 1991.
In 2014 PA will fund a total of sixteen (16) juniors to attend the PA Junior Camp, which will be held 5 - 12 July.
Eight (8) juniors will be invited by PA to attend the camp and a further eight (8) will be nominated by their respective State/Territory Association. In the event that a State/Territory Association does not nominate a candidate, PA will liaise with the other State/Territory Associations who wish to nominate an additional junior to fill such vacancies.
If, after PA has received and approved all sixteen (16) PA funded candidates, the State/Territory Associations may nominate additional juniors who wish to attend the camp, however, this will be at the expense of the individual or the State/Territory Association.
